Shepard Fairey (b. 1970) is an American artist and activist who emerged from the skateboarding scene. He gained notoriety with the "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (...OBEY...) sticker campaign. He went on to found  OBEY Clothing and design the Barack Obama "Hope" poster for the 2008 election.
